¿De qué trata Shoukoku no Altair?

La historia está protagonizada por Mahmut, un joven miembro del consejo de la estratocracia Torqye que mantiene el título político y militar de bajá. Mahmut perdió a su madre hace doce años en la guerra contra el vecino Imperio del Balt-Rin. Motivado por llevar la paz a su país, se convirtió en el bajá más joven de la historia de Torqye. Sin embargo, los continuos enfrentamientos entre amantes de la guerra y pacifistas terminan dividiendo el consejo y la amenaza del beligerante Imperio de Balt-Rin ha puesto la seguridad de Torqye en jaque. Mahmut está decidido a mantener la paz, pero habiendo tanto en juego, una larga historia de enemistades y alianzas le termina llevando hasta un mundo político del que prefiere alejarse. El periplo del bajá Mahmut no será fácil y es posible que estalle la guerra a pesar de sus esfuerzos.

When discussing how to remodeling the city, Mimar Zeki Pasha, a student of Halil and the architect in charge of the remodeling, proposes to get rid of its poorhouses to make room for the Imaret they plan to build.
